Recipe Guide

What dough works best for these bites?

Pizza dough, either homemade or store-bought, works well. For gluten-free options, substitute with gluten-free dough.

How do I achieve the basketball lines effect?

Thinly sliced black olives are used to create the characteristic basketball lines on each bite after baking.

Can I customize the fillings?

Yes, pepperoni is optional. Other fillings like cooked sausage, sautéed mushrooms, or bell peppers make great alternatives.

What temperature and time are needed for baking?

Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes until golden and cheese is bubbling.

Is there a tip for ensuring a crispy base?

Lightly dusting the baking sheet with cornmeal prevents sticking and adds a pleasant crispness to the bottom.
