01 - 8 large sheets roasted nori
→ Seasoning
02 - 2 tbsp sesame oil
03 - 1 tbsp tamari or gluten-free soy sauce
04 - 1 tsp maple syrup
05 - ½ tsp sea salt
06 - ¼ tsp chili flakes (optional)
07 - 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
→ Optional Garnishes
08 - 1 tbsp crushed wasabi peas
09 - 1 tbsp finely chopped green onion
# Method:
01 - Preheat oven to 285°F. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper.
02 - In a small bowl, whisk together sesame oil, tamari, maple syrup, sea salt, and chili flakes if using.
03 - Place one nori sheet shiny side down on parchment. Lightly brush with seasoning mixture. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Repeat layering nori sheets, brushing each with seasoning and sprinkling seeds, finishing with a seasoned sheet on top.
04 - Using a sharp knife or kitchen scissors, cut the stacked nori sheets into bite-sized strips or squares.
05 - Arrange the cut pieces evenly on the prepared baking tray. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, monitoring closely to avoid burning.
06 - Remove from oven and allow to cool completely to crisp up. Garnish with crushed wasabi peas and chopped green onion as desired before serving.
