04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 2 green onions, finely chopped
06 - 1 tbsp soy sauce
07 - 1 tbsp sriracha or preferred hot sauce
08 - 1/2 tsp salt
09 - 1/4 tsp black pepper
→ Glaze
10 - 1/3 cup honey
11 - 2 tbsp soy sauce
12 - 1 to 2 tbsp sriracha, adjust to taste
13 - 1 tbsp rice vinegar
14 - 1 tsp sesame oil
15 - 1 clove garlic, minced
16 - 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
→ Garnish (optional)
17 - Sliced green onions
18 - Toasted sesame seeds
# Method:
01 - Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, sriracha, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined without overworking the mixture.
03 - Shape the mixture into 20 uniform meatballs and evenly space them on the prepared baking sheet.
04 - Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until browned and fully cooked through.
05 - While meatballs bake, in a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens slightly.
06 - Remove meatballs from the oven and immediately toss them in the warm glaze until evenly coated.
07 - Serve hot, optionally garnished with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
